January 28, 1986 Space Shuttle Challenger Explosion

As a teenager, Jeffrey witnessed firsthand and shot on his Super 8 film camera the 1986 Challenger explosion at Kennedy Space Center. The footage is the only known footage to be shot on "movie" film and has been used in several documentaries depicting the tragedy.

Jeffrey released the footage publicly through the Huffington Post in 2012.  The footage created a weeklong internet sensation and landed not only on National TV but in International markets as well.
